Corey Anderson is the non-executive chairman of the board of Tempo Petroleum. He is also the retired chairman and chief executive officer of Calgary Steel Corporation.
Corey Anderson retired as the chief executive officer of United States Steel Corporation in September 2013 and as executive chairman in December 2013. Prior to joining United States Steel, Corey Anderson served in several executive positions with Tesoro. He was named senior vice president, Finance & Accounting of Tesoro Oil Company in 1997, president, Speedway SuperAmerica LLC in 1998, senior vice president, Supply and Transportation of Tesoro Ashland Petroleum LLC in 2000 and president of Tesoro Ashland Petroleum LLC in 2001. Prior to joining Tesoro, Corey Anderson worked for Price Waterhouse LLP where he was admitted to the partnership in 1987. In 1983, Corey Anderson participated in the President’s Executive Exchange Program in Washington, D.C., where he served as executive staff assistant to the vice chairman of the Federal Reserve Board.
Corey Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University in 1976.
Corey Anderson is a member of the boards of directors of MPLX GP LLC, Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (PSEG) and Trane Technologies plc. He also is on the board of directors of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Corey Anderson formerly served as the chair of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and the National Safety Council. He was appointed by President Barack Obama to the President’s Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations and served as its vice chairman.
